Resources For Our Immigrant Communities
CUSD Immigrant Resource Hub:
https://www.campbellusd.org/immigration.php
In addition to resources for Campbell USD families, this page includes CUSD Board policies and instructions for what you should do as a CUSD employee if you find yourself interacting with immigration officers at school (click on "Educator Resources"). After following the guidelines and informing your administrator, please contact CETA President Jay Mason at president@campbelleta.net or by leaving a voicemail at (408) 915-5991.
CTA Resources:
http://www.cta.org/homeishere
This page provides resources collected by CTA and NEA, along with information about how our union is working to protect our immigrant families and how you can help.
Santa Clara County Rapid Response Network (RRN):
https://www.amigoscenter.com/rapid-respon
This is a community defense project developed to protect immigrant families from deportation threats and to provide accompaniment support during and after a community member’s arrest or detention. Anyone can call the 24/7 HOTLINE at (408) 290-1144 to report ICE activity in our county and receive help in real time. Please note: This is not a general information line; it should be used for active ICE emergencies only.
Tarjetas Rojas/Red Cards (from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center):
https://www.ilrc.org/red-cards-tarjetas-rojas
This page provides you with a link to print your own red cards that contain language that people can use to assert their rights and defend themselves in many situations, such as when ICE agents go to a home. We recommend printing some and making them available in a conspicuous place in your classroom.
